The University of Padua Botanical Garden will reopen.

Starting Tuesday, March 3, the Botanical Garden will reopen its doors to the public.

 

Starting Tuesday, March 3, the University of Padua Botanical Garden will reopen its door to the public during regularly scheduled hours of operation.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we ask for your collaboration as is indicated by the staff of the Botanical Garden adopted by the Italian Prime Ministerial Decree (DPCM) of March 4, 2020.

 

By adhering to the following provisions to the protection of public health:

 

 

· maximum if 5 people at a time will be allowed into the ticket office;

· do not stay in closed rooms for long periods of time, such as greenhouses, ticket office, or restrooms (WC);

· keep a distance of 1 meter between other people and wait to access the ticket office, greenhouses or restroom (WC);

· make use of the sanitizing gel dispensers available to the public at the ticket office and restrooms (WC) area.

 

Please note:

· Workshops and guided tour activities are fully suspended;

· Entry into greenhouses is allowed for groups of 20 people per room;

· A maximum of 100 people are allowed to enter the Botanical Garden during each opening hour.

Finally, please note the general hygienic rules issued by the Ministry of Health for the prevention of spreading the Coronavirus:

 

 

a) WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN. It is recommended to make hydro-alcoholic solutions (gel hand sanitizers) for hand washing available in all public locations, gyms, supermarkets, pharmacies, and other meeting places

b) AVOID CLOSE CONTACT with people suffering from acute respiratory infections, avoiding hugging, handshaking and all direct physical contact

c) RESPIRATORY HYGIENE, sneeze or cough in tissues only, avoid hand contact of respiratory secretions

d) RESPECT THE PERSONAL SPACE OF OTHERs BY AT LEAST ONE METER for every social interaction

e) AVOID SHARING BOTTLES, CUPS, and GLASSES, also during sporting activities f) DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES, NOSE, OR MOUTH WITH YOUR HANDS

g) COVER YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE WHEN YOU SNEEZE OR COUGH

h) DO NOT TAKE ANTIVIRAL DRUGS OR ANTIBIOTICS, unless prescribed by your doctor

i) CLEAN ALL SURFACES WITH CHLORINE OR ALCOHOL BASED DISINFECTANTS

l) WEAR A MASK ONLY IF YOU SUSPECT YOU ARE sick or if you are a caregiver to the sick
