Alles ist Blatt, “All is leaf”: the leading concept of the new, unpublished paintings by Giovanni Frangi on exhibition at the Biodiversity Garden, is a homage to Goethe, whose visits at the Botanical Garden helped him envisage his theories about leaves and plants metamorphosis. 

Frangi’s painting are in fact huge screens refracting branches, bushes, leaves: a reverberation of living nature, which is a perpetual source of inspiration for him. Together with the unpublished works, the renowned cycles Pasadena and Underwater are also on exhibition.
